Christchurch Earthquake – An Eyewitness Report

The earthquake in Christchurch yesterday was the worst natural disaster to hit New Zealand in 80 years – with the centre of the town being hit worst by the quake. As is increasingly common with major events, someone on the ground was there using ipadio to report back on what’s going on. What I didn’t quite expect was that someone would be my girlfriend Liz, who is currently over in Christchurch for her brother’s wedding.

I used ipadio’s conference call recording facilities to record this brief interview with her about what happened – it’s scary and fascinating stuff. As you might have guessed – I’m glad she’s coming home in a few days!
