Edutalk takes the panel to the airwaves

Last night was the second EDUtalkr – a bimonthly educational panel discussion conducted using ipadio. It’s bringing together a diverse bunch of educators for an in-depth discussion – this month on learning outside of the classroom.

What’s nice is that it’s a bit like a talk radio show – they’ve got a number of people speaking, and are taking e-mails and tweets from people who are listening in live!

This is all achieved through ipadio’s basic functionality – they’ve simply created a conference call between the different speakers and conferenced in ipadio as another participant to broadcast it – and let other people know where they can go to listen in live – and it creates a rather compelling show!

Anyone else fancy trying something like this?

  1. Enjoyed the session, thank you. I am looking at doing something similar for the college sector in Scotland – debates on current crucial issues, people sending in comments, questions, views. It would be good to meet up or at least share some emails
